Would an OCapN implementation in #Elixir essentially be an implementation in Erlang?

@jump_spider you’re right! An Elixir toolchain has access to an Erlang compiler, but not vice versa. Hence, an implementation in Erlang can be used in Elixir easily, while it’s very impractical the other way around. So yes, for infra/networking stuff you want to start with Erlang and maybe expose an extra Elixir API that wraps it. That’s what the OpenTelemetry libs are doing, e.g. here: https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-erlang/tree/main/apps/opentelemetry_api
@shooboo @jump_spider You can use Elixir libs in Erlang though, as they all just compile to the same bytecode. https://github.com/Supersonido/rebar_mix
