@GeePawHill Mostly I have daily reminders to take my meds and try to work through my shit in therapy.

I love this sentiment. I've been second guessing my word choices since people associate verbosity with AI, and it feels dumb.
@kenokabe I only started following you recently, but I appreciate your Elixir jokes. They make me smile.
@cwebber Someone I follow encourages periodically telling others good things. So I just wanted to say that your work is so inspiring to me and I'm sure many others. Your passion for it is infectious.
@Zenie The setup is going pretty good! I'm definitely getting into a groove. The workspace is just so much different than what I'm used to coming from vscode, but it's a good different.
Minor gripes notwithstanding, I'm beginning to get into a groove with #emacs. Next big step will probably carefully crafting keybindings.
I would like treemacs and desktop-save-mode to work together in macos #emacs. Finding nothing about why they don't.
@Talen_Lee @bo_brinkman Please say it ain't so...
Dang, #emacs got hands...
@wiersdorf @bounga I appreciate it! I was actually in the middle of setting up doom, but was already feeling a little overwhelmed with the complexity, lol. I might just switch to your kit!
@bounga Don't know yet! Gonna research my options
Today's the day I setup #emacs
OK, attempt number...three? to absorb the excellent Scheme Primer from Spritely. I've finished it twice, but then trying to move on to doing anything with #Guile has caused me to bounce off. Gotta keep it simple, Serra.
@zhenyi Love it, would buy it on Android
Man, I didn't know people got heated over of the laws of thermodynamics
@grimalkina Oof, too real
@fesshole This makes my queer little heart so happy.

The linked article is a great read. The implied open question at the end, now that the world has so much inertia in the cyberlibertarian ethos, how do we begin to course correct? I'm not well versed in political theory. But the flow of events suggests that cultural practice led to regulation (or lack there of) led to infrastructure that led to cultural practice, in a feedback loop of sadness.
Infrastructure is hard to change, at least the big stuff. Projects like Butterbox and @spritely have got my mind marinating on building small, local community through these technologies. The trick is keeping each person safe at least technically while sharing resources.
Plus, you know, the whole in-person communication thing. I've historically not been great at that. The whole paranoid psychosis is difficult even when well medicated.
@mercutio This is the way
